Recently, the team at Stega was approached by Hikari NFTs, a popular NFT Project, to design a collection of streetwear style clothes exclusively available for their NFT holders.
To begin the project, Stega conducted detailed user research to understand what Hikari's target audience's clothing taste and preferences were, creating clothing pieces any holder could wear on a daily basis. This research extended to understanding the functionality of the NFTs and how it correlates with the artwork embedded within them. By diving into the intricacies of the NFTs' functionality and how the art translates into tangible expressions, Stega developed a series of references and concepts that integrate the essence of the artwork into the design process for the accompanying clothing line.
After exploring several ideas, we settled on a sweat suit, a collection of trucker hats, and a selection of tee shirts. The sweat suit was crafted with a sleek, understated design, perfect for both athletic activities and casual wear, and has become a hit among NFT holders. As for the hats, we opted for original artwork by JeezArtz, mirroring the distinctive features of each NFT, such as glowing eyes, symbolizing their unique powers. We wrapped up with two stylish tee shirt designs, each offered in a variety of colors. Additionally, we've revamped the iconic Hikari artwork into a few fresh styles.
The sweat suit was meticulously crafted through cut-and-sew techniques, featuring embroidered Hikari logos and intricate details down to the zippers. Each trucker hat featured an impressive 30,000-stitch count embroidery, showcasing exquisite attention to detail. Meanwhile, the shirts were brought to life using state-of-the-art direct-to-garment printing technology, ensuring vibrant colors, rich shades, and precise details.
