Collaborating closely with the monks who embody the rich traditions of Indian culture, we aimed to develop merchandise that resonated with supporters across diverse environments, blending elements of New York City's vibrant culture with the essence of the Vaishnav tradition. Exploring a range of concepts, we envisioned a design that seamlessly integrated iconic symbols of NYC with the spiritual significance of the apple, rendered in a hand-drawn, bubbly typography. The result was a visually striking yet accessible design, ideal for screen-printed tee shirts that could be proudly worn by supporters in any setting.
It is essential to create merchandise that appeals to a broad audience, ensuring accessibility and widespread adoption, thereby maximizing support and impact for the cause.
To ensure accessibility, speedy production, and durable quality, we chose screen printing. This method involves pressing ink through silk screens, allowing it to bond with the cotton fabric for a long-lasting print. We did a front and a back print.
